Ruby Spencer winner of Blue Rose Christmas card competition

Date published: 08 December 2017

Ruby Spencer, a Year 6 pupil at St Luke’s Primary School, won the 2017 Blue Rose Gifts & Balloons 'Design A Christmas Card' competition.

Ruby’s prize for winning the competition was a framed copy of her design, a box of uniquely personalised “Blue Rose Chocolate” and a congratulatory balloon, presented by Beverley Heyworth, of Blue Rose, during Thursday morning whole school assembly.

The children of St Luke’s, All Souls, Harwood Park and Heap Bridge Primary schools entered the competition and the top designs were on display in Blue Rose during late November for  customers to vote their favourite.

Ruby’s winning Reindeer Design was the choice of the majority of customers and has now been professionally produced as the shop's card for customers and suppliers with over 500 copies printed.

Ms Heywroth said: “I would like to congratulate Ruby on her design, the image is delightful, and I am sure that our customers will be as thrilled as I am by it.

“Thanks, must also go to the teachers of the four schools which participated in the competition for allowing the pupils to take part.”
