Save The Children Christmas Jumper Day - Friday 15 December
People across Rochdale are being encouraged to wear a Christmas jumper on Friday 15 December, to help raise money for charity.
The event was started three years ago by Save The Children and last year saw businesses such as Ryder and Dutton, RRG Mazda Rochdale and PDS UK Door and Window taking part.
Save the Children works to tackle child poverty, offer child protection, help malnourished children to survive and fight to make children’s rights a reality. They also provide education to children who are missing out on school in countries such as Africa, Asia and Europe.
Last year, the charity was able to help over 22 million children across the world.
Everyone who joins in and gives a donation of £2 will be making the world better with a sweater.
