Turning Point commissioned as drug and alcohol service provider

Turning Point
Turning Point has been commissioned by Rochdale and Oldham Councils as a new provider for drug and alcohol services, Wednesday’s (13 December) council meeting was informed.
Councillor Sara Rowbotham, Portfolio Holder for Health and Wellbeing, said: “We have jointly commissioned with Oldham Council a new provider for our drug and alcohol service after successfully completing a competitive tendering process.
“The new provider, Turning Point, is a national Health and Social Care provider with over 50 years’ experience.
"The new service will reduce harms to individuals and families, tackle complex dependencies and build sustainable services and communities so recovery can flourish.
"Turning Point and Rochdale and Oldham commissioners are working together to implement the new service over the next few months.”
The service will be put into place from 1 April.
