Occupier suffered effects of smoke in kitchen fire

The occupier of a house on Church Stile, Rochdale was taken to hospital suffering the effects of smoke following a fire in the kitchen of the property on Monday.

Three fire engines from Heywood, Chadderton and Littleborough and crews used breathing apparatus, a hose reel and a positive pressure ventilation fan to tackle the fire.

An ambulance attended, and paramedics treated the occupier who was suffering from the effects of smoke before conveyed to hospital.
