Julie Charles, 17th Thornham Beaver Scout Leader, was presented with her Certificate of Achievement and Gilwell Scarf at a scouting award presentation on Sunday.
Julie had completed all her ‘Scout Wood Badge Training’ and had successfully passed the validation stages to become a fully trained Scout Leader within the ‘Scouting Movement’.
Derek Redfern, Pennine Group Scout Leader, presented the award on behalf of Pennine District and the Chief Scout Bear Grylls, in the presence of the Reverend Jason Powell.
Derek said: “It was really nice for me to be given the opportunity me to present the Wood Badge.
“The welcome was amazing and the response during the presentation was really supportive.”
