Cats have a great knack for finding enjoyment in the simplest of things, and what could be more enjoyable than taking a break for tea, cakes and some feline-themed fun?

The Rochdale Cat’s Protection branch is appealing to cat lovers and baking enthusiasts alike to help raise money for cats in need by hosting one of their ‘Paw-some’ Afternoon Teas.

The events will be part of the cat charity’s national event, and will enable friends, family and colleagues to enjoy a fun get-together with cakes and treats.

Guests can enjoy tea and cake in exchange for a small donation at the events, which can be organised by absolutely anyone at home, work or even in school from Saturday 14 April.

A free pack containing everything you need for a successful Paw-some Afternoon Tea – including bunting, cake flags and recipes, can be obtained via the Paw-some Tea website.

Cats Protection Rochdale is part of a network of over 250 volunteer-run branches and 32 centres which together help around 500 cats a day – or around 200,000 a year.
