Certificates awarded to children at Deeplish Community Centre

Date published: 17 April 2018

Certificates of achievement have been awarded to children during a celebratory event at Deeplish Community Centre.

The centre delivered a successful two-week play scheme for children and young people over the Easter holidays, subsequently holding celebrations on 12 April.

The certificates were awarded to children for their participation in performance, participation, sports, arts and for displaying best behaviour and best dressed on the last day.

Attiya Malik, senior play scheme volunteer, said: “The children have participated in multisport, learning arts, developing circus skills, improving life skills and participating in trips and outdoor activities. They also enjoyed multi sports activities with Link4Life coaches and worked with volunteers and support staff at the centre.

“It was good to see so many young people having a good time at Deeplish play scheme and giving positive feedback about activities organised throughout the play scheme, including a trip out which most of them enjoyed very much.

“We very strongly felt that it was all down to excellent team work volunteers input at the centre.

Sohail Ahmad, Operations Manager at Deeplish Community Centre, said: “The play scheme is helping children and young people to become active citizens and achieve excellence in their social skills and wellbeing.

Mohammed Saleem JP, chairman of Deeplish Centre said: “We thank you to all our partners, volunteers and staff  for providing an outstanding service to young people, keeping them occupied and safe during school holidays and teaching them life skills.”
