Date published: 25 May 2018

Paul Ellison has joined the Norden Carnival Committee ahead of its brightest parade yet.

Now in its 41st year, the Norden Carnival is promising to be the brightest and most colourful yet, due to its Magic Garden theme.

Norden Carnival, has taken place every June as a charity fundraising event. It features a parade, alongside a funfair, food and drinks, live music, plus a variety of craft stalls and fabulous raffle prizes.

A representative for the Carnival Committee said: “We’re so pleased to welcomed Paul to the group, and we’re all looking forward to another great year with our most successful carnival yet.”

Paul, who is also chairman of NEEVA (Norden’s Environmental and Economic Village Association), said: “The group has welcomed me with open arms, and I’m really excited for another successful carnival in Norden this year.”

This year’s theme has been chosen in support of Rochdale In Bloom, and follows previous themes such as Step Back in Time, TV, All Creatures Great and Small, Favourite Film, Favourite Book, Music through the Decades, Around the World in 80 Days, Popstars, A Night at the Oscars, Best of British, Fairytales, Top of the Pops, Circus, Myths.
