Schoolchildren discussed a range of Wardle Trust projects at a student council meeting at Kentmere Academy.
Children from Wardle Academy, St James’ CE Primary School, Kentmere Academy and St Andrew’s CE Primary were joined by Councillor Ashley Dearnley as they discussed a range of trust projects, including the opening of the new swimming pool at Wardle Academy.
The meeting was chaired by Wardle Trust chief executive Graham Wright.
He said: “As CEO, I enjoy the council meetings as the student members contribute fresh ideas that extend the opportunities we are able to offer to all our students. Sometimes the discussions can be inspirational with some good innovative ideas and suggestions put forward.”
Councillor Dearnley added: “This was an excellent meeting with the school council representatives. They had some super ideas and a great discussion. The academy listens and takes on board the suggestions from our students, all working together positively.”
