A Middleton councillor has been awarded a certificate for her voluntary work.
Councillor Sue Smith was presented with the certificate for her work with Living Well The Big Life on Thursday (21 June).
She said: “As well as my role as a councillor, I also do lots of voluntary work in the community.
"Some of my work has been with Living Well The Big Life. In partnership, they have delivered workshops for us based around improving your mental health.
"There were lots of other groups and individuals receiving their awards too.
"It’s important to recognise our volunteers for the work they do, which is what this event was all about.”
Living Well is a partnership of service delivered by the Big Life group, Link4Life, Rochdale & District Mind and Early Break working together to help tackle the main causes of ill-health in the borough linked to lifestyle choice.
