Arrests at Rochdale caravan park

Date published: 18 July 2018

Three arrests have been made after warrants were executed at a Rochdale caravan park on Wednesday morning (18 July).

Police executed warrants at six caravans in Roch Vale Caravan Park on Pringle Street as part of an investigation into burglaries and thefts of cars.

The operation – code-named Marzipan – saw several static homes, caravans, cars and storage units searched under the warrant.

Officers from Rochdale and GMP’s Specialist Operations branch worked together to carry out the search.

The arrests included suspicion of money laundering, burglary and possession of controlled drugs.

Chief Superintendent, Neil Evans, territorial commander for Rochdale, said: “Today’s operation follows months of collaborative hard work by our officers who are dedicated to dismantling crime networks which gain from inflicting misery on communities.

“We have made a number of arrests and I must stress that the investigation does not stop here and we will continue to follow all avenues of enquiries.

“I hope today shows that GMP is committed to investigating and tackling all types of crime and warrants are just one part of lots of work going on behind the scenes.

“Please continue to report anything concerns you have and help us stop those who are benefitting from crime.
