RRUFC Volunteer Weekend – Rochdale Rugby Union FC, Sat 28 & Sun 29 July

Over the summer, the club has spent a considerable amount of money refurbing the inside and outside however, a lot of jobs still need carrying out. Please support the club as they need your help.

Summer Kids Activities at Gordon Riggs – Gordon Rigg Garden Centre Rochdale, Sat 28 & Sun 29 July, 10am – 12pm & 2pm – 4pm daily

We have a range of children's activities at our Rochdale branch throughout the Summer holidays including painting and decorating piggy banks and windchimes. Running until 2 September.

Slime Workshop – Middleton Shopping Centre, 11am – 3pm

We will have some fabulous entertainment and craft workshops planned for the Summer holidays for all families visiting the centre. Booking is essential for this event.

Afternoon Tea with a One Woman Performance – Whitworth Library, 2.30pm – 4pm

A free performance about a Lancashire mill girl’s early years and the reasons for her becoming a suffragette.

Live Music: The Co-Operative Gig – Saint Mary in the Baum, 7pm – 11pm

A music event established to support young Rochdale musicians to play a professional medium sized gig in the centre of the town. Including music from The Galahads, The People and Palms.

Black Magic: The Little Mix Show – Middleton Arena, 7pm – 9.15pm

This iconic 5-star tribute show has live vocals and is full of commercial pop-video choreography.

Live Music from Midnight Cats: Manchester’s Favourite Function Band – The Flying Horse, 8pm – 1.30am

They play only the best disco, funk, soul, pop and party tunes to keep those toes a-tapping and hips swinging way out of town!

Elmpenny’s Museum: Multi-sensory theatre for early years – Touchstones Rochdale, 11am – 11.45am & 2pm – 2.45pm

Elmpenny (a puppet) owns a museum but has lost three of his objects. Led by the museum's treasure hunters, join us on a multi-sensory adventure to find the objects.

Summer Fun Days return this year and includes a 'play' sand pit, sandcastle building competitions, Punch and Judy shows, a magician and face painting.
