The World Beer Keg Carrying Championship – The Moorcock Inn, registration from 10am

Racing in teams of 4, you will run up the Roman Road carrying a beer keg filled with water. This tough uphill course will challenge even the fittest.

Whitworth Rushcart – Starting at Whitworth Museum, North Street, 1pm – 4.30pm

Featuring numerous traditional morris dance troupes, the Rushcart procession will travel north up the main road (Market Street), arriving at The Riverside at approximately 1.20pm, where there will be various entertainment and stalls.

Heywood Charities Fete and Parade – Starting at Sefton Street, Heywood, 1pm

The theme for this years fete is 'Animals'. The Parade leaves Sefton Street, Heywood at 1.00pm, following the route through Heywood, ending at Queen's Park for the Fete.
