‘Sophisticated’ cannabis farm discovered in empty Drake Street building

A ‘sophisticated’ cannabis farm was discovered in an empty building on Drake Street on Wednesday (12 September).
Over 70 mature plants have been seized from the operation, spread over two-floors in the property.
A spokesman for Greater Manchester Police said: “A sophisticated cannabis farm with over 70 mature plants, spanning two floors has been discovered by police in a disused building in Rochdale town centre on Drake Street.
“Cannabis farm dismantled, plants seized, enquiries ongoing.”
