Bishop backs call to 'fix' Universal Credit

Date published: 14 September 2018

The Bishop of Manchester, David Walker, is supporting the End Hunger UK petition, calling on the government to "fix Universal Credit" to reduce the number of families struggling to feed themselves in areas where it is being rolled out.

Bishop David said: “I encourage churches to look into the issues for themselves and consider signing the End Hunger UK petition that will be presented to the Prime Minister in November.”
