Can you help keep Valley Vet Care’s patients warm this winter?

Rochdale’s Valley Vet Care is appealing for keen knitters who would be willing to knit some jumpers for their inpatients this winter.
The practice is appealing for cosy jumpers for cats and dogs of all sizes, plus blankets to keep their furry inpatients warm after surgery.
Lydia Sagar, head veterinary nurse, said: “After premeds, a lot of the animals can’t control their temperatures afterwards, so we like to give them lots of blankets, foil blankets and hot water bottles to keep them warm. With it coming up to winter, they can get especially cold.
“If anyone thinks they might be able to help, please ring us or drop off at the surgery.”
A knitting pattern is available upon request from the Whitworth Road veterinary practice.
