Local charity branch distribute winter packs to Greater Manchester homeless

Date published: 15 January 2019

Teams from the Rochdale branch of the One Nation charity distributed winter packs to the homeless and needy throughout Rochdale, Oldham and Manchester on 30 December and 13 January.

The winter packs consisted of hats, gloves and socks, with the volunteers also giving out hot food, tea, coffee and water bottles.

One homeless man told the volunteers: “We didn’t think we were going to eat tonight until you guys came along. God bless you for what you do.”

Rochdale Branch Manager, Mojahid Ali said: “We would like to say a big thank you to everyone who has donated towards our projects, and all the volunteers who work very hard no matter the time, weather or location.”
