The Haunting – The Curtain Theatre, Fri 8 & Sat 9 Feb, 7.30pm

A ghostly mystery, stitched together from five stories by Charles Dickens and adapted by Hugh Janes. Shows running every night until Saturday 16 February.


  • Friday 8 February

Flint Knapping Taster Session – Whitworth Men’s Shed, between 10am – 12.30pm

A community group for men that aims to reduce isolation and tackle loneliness, new members welcome.


Castleton Literary & Scientific Society – Castleton Community Centre, 7pm

Tonights session is 'A Memorial in the Clouds' for Lake District mountaineers who died in WW1 presented by Peter Smith OBE.


Love Machine - Greatest Love Songs of the 20th Century – Middleton Arena, 7.30pm – 9.30pm

Listen to love songs performed live going back to the 1930’s to modern day.


Live Music: Midnight Cats – The Flying Horse Hotel, band on 10pm

Join Manchester's favourite function band at the Flyer.


Live Music: The Inciders – Empire Rochdale, 6pm – 4am

Offering Ska Reggae Rocksteady music.

Heywood Model Railway Group Open Day – Unit 3 Park Works, 10am – 4pm

Come along to an open day where you can stretch the legs of your locos by running them on different layouts.


Valentine Storytime – Rochdale Central Library, 10am – 11.30am

With guest puppets and crafts.


Japanese Sound Wave Marbling – Touchstones Rochdale, 10.30am – 12.30pm

Inspired by music, participants will explore and create marbled papers of echoing waves using colourful layers.


Valentine’s Market Place – Syke Methodist Church, 11am – 1pm

Homebaking, Usbourne books, crafts, raffle and many more things to browse.


Charity Lunch in aid of Sightsavers – Rochdale Unitarian Church, 11.45am

Please contact the church if you wish to attend, so they have an idea of numbers.


All 2gether Now Project – Status 4 All Leisure Garden and Allotments, 12pm – 2pm

Families and children will take part in outdoor activities from growing your own produce, to mini sports including orienteering.


Little Gift: Family Theatre Performance – M6 Studio, 3pm

Little Gift tells an optimistic story of friendship and hope. Suitable for family audiences aged 3 – 7 years.


Rachel Cracknell Fundraising Day – Corky’s Café, 3pm

Rachel has multi-complex medical conditions and needs an upright MRI scan which she needs to pay for.


Rochdale AFC v Coventry City – Crown Oil Arena, 3pm kick off

Sky Bet League One match.


Live Music: Suit & The Tramp – The Flying Horse Hotel, band on 10pm

Enjoy a great live band whilst having a range of cask ales, drought ciders, 40 gins & 20 rums.


Live Music: Adele Tribute – Empire Rochdale, 6pm – 4am

Home Town Glory Live Band.

Rochdale Festival of Performing Arts – Rochdale Town Hall, 10am onwards

Mind, Body & Spirit Fayre – Middleton Masonic Hall, 10am – 5pm

Free talks and demonstrations throughout the day and over 40 stalls to browse with exhibitors offering all types of complimentary therapies ranging from physics, healers, mediums and varied spiritual retail stalls.


Boutique Baby Sale Middleton – Bowlee Park Sports Centre, 11am

Over 35 stalls packed with 1000’s of baby and children’s bargains, both preloved and handcrafted unique items from toys, clothes, prams, high chairs and equipment.


Rochdale Ramblers Sunday Walks – Saddleworth, 11am

Meet at Wool Road car park, distance of this walk is 7.5 miles.


Rochdale Hornets v Toronto Wolfpack – Crown Oil Arena, 3pm kick off

Championship round 2.


Jazz on a Sunday – Newtown National Club, doors open 7.15pm

Tonight we welcome the Chicago Teddy Bears Society Jazz Band.


Bards of the Baum Folk ‘n’ Poetry Night – The Baum, 7.30pm

Read, play, sing or simply make up the audience. Your own or others' works both acceptable.
