Date published: 15 March 2019

The flood information service has issued a ‘Flooding is possible - be prepared’ warning for the River Roch and the River Beal following anticipated heavy rainfall on Saturday 16 March.

The flood information service says: “We believe there is a possibility of flooding for low lying land and roads around the Rivers Beal, Roch and their tributaries. Consequently, flooding of low-lying land, roads and farmland is possible.

“We are closely monitoring the situation. Our incident response staff are closely monitoring weather forecasts and river levels and will issue further updates as necessary.

“Please avoid using low lying footpaths near local watercourses.”
