Moo Boutique raises hundreds of pounds for NSPCC

Date published: 05 June 2019

A fashion show at a Milnrow boutique has raised hundreds of pounds for charity.

Moo Boutique held the fashion show at its shop on Dale Street on 23 May, raising over £300 for the NSPCC in Littleborough.

On arrival, everybody received a glass of prosecco and was offered a beautiful cupcake made by Mrs Barber’s bakery before browsing the store and enjoying a chat about the latest fashions and trends.

Pop-up stalls featured products by The Body Shop and Park Lane jewellery as models showcased the season’s looks, from casual attire to occasional wear, demonstrating different ways in how to mix and match and wear an outfit.

Owner Nicola Brown also donated 10% of that night’s proceeds to the children’s charity, plus funds from a raffle which featured fabulous prizes from local businesses.

She said: “The raffle raised just over £200, which was amazing. The event went on until 9pm, raising over £300, so everyone was really happy with that.”

Moo Boutique, offering a unique mix of fashionable ladies’ apparel, was opened by mum of two and former estate agent Nicola in March 2018.

The Moo franchise started in Heaton Moor in 2008 by stylist and mother-of-one Jen McKenna. A second store followed in Brighouse, with the Milnrow store being the third.
