Inaugural Castleton Car and Bike Show on Sunday

If you're interested in cars, scooters, bikes, tractors - or anything with wheels - the inaugural Castleton Car and Bike Show on Sunday (14 July) will be right up your street.

Taking place at Mayfield Sports Centre, the very first Castleton Car and Bike Show promises to be a great day out for all the family with fun fair rides for the kids, an F1 simulator American cars, British cars, Japanese and even military and agricultural vehicles.

There are also classic and modern motorcycles, trials bikes speedway and road racers booked in. 

The event is the brainchild of local car and bike enthusiasts, Pete Duffy and Mark Foster, and will be sponsored by Rochdale Car Auctions.

Organisers would like to extend their thanks to local businessman Nick Crewe for his hands-on assistance in preparing the course for trial bikes this week.

The organising committee have nominated the local SG6, Steve Gartland foundation as their chosen charity and hope to be able to make a sizeable donation from monies raised.

The doors open for spectators at 10am and the fun goes on until 4pm.

Admission is £5 for adults and £3 for children & OAPs with family discounts available.
