Celebrate Springhill Hospice’s 30th anniversary with return of KAPOW!

Date published: 22 September 2019

An action-packed inflatable assault course returns to Heaton Park next month and you can join in to raise money for Springhill Hospice.

After the success of last year’s debut event, which saw hundreds of people enter, KAPOW! is back on Sunday 6 October, with those taking part being able to take on this fun challenge with family, friends and work colleagues.

This action-packed, inflatable, 5k sponsored assault course will have you slipping and sliding your way to a fun, exciting and memorable day out. Duck and dive your way through obstacles including the Foam Bath, Twisty Tunnels, six metre Drop Slide and Foam Maze. Your Kapow! adventure is sure to be a laugh you’ll never forget.

Rebekah Cheshire, Springhill’s Events and Campaigns Fundraiser, said: “Kapow! is such a fun family orientated event. You can dress up, have your face painted and have your cape at the ready to fly around this fabulous obstacle course at Heaton Park. There are certainly lots of giggles to be had and all for a very good cause too.

"Many other charities will be participating on the day but let's turn Heaton Park 'Springhill green' - fancy dress is optional but highly recommended. Dress up as Wonder Woman, Superman or even Springy the Frog, all in support of patient care at Springhill Hospice.

“We look forward to seeing you there.”

You can register as individuals, or group registrations are available for six or more participants. Any participant who is 16 or under must be accompanied by a paying adult. There is no age restriction, but all participants must be a minimum height of 1.2 metres.

The course is fully marshalled, and you will always have someone around for any assistance that is needed.

There is no pressure to be the fastest or the fittest at our Kapow! event, it is about taking part and enjoying yourself for a wonderful cause. Everyone walks or runs at their own pace.

How to register

Registration is now open: £25 per adult and £20 per child (16 and under).

Your entry fee will allow you to participate in the full course with all obstacles and also include a well-earned bespoke medal for you to cherish.
