Milnrow salon donates earnings to Breast Cancer Now

Date published: 22 October 2019

A hairdressing salon in the heart of Milnrow has raised £300 for Breast Cancer Now.

During Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Alicia Moores House Of Hair organised a coffee morning for their clients on Friday 18 October and donated all earnings from the day to charity.

Owner of the salon, Jessica Woodrup, said: “Raising awareness of breast cancer is something close to our hearts and unfortunately, some of our client’s hearts too, and one in particular, which has made us want to raise awareness.

"We had a lovely busy day. We did blow-drys and cut and finishes and donated all the proceeds to Breast Cancer Now.

“We also held a cake sale and raffle for a large bouquet of flowers, kindly donated by Buddies Florist, a L’Oréal shampoo and conditioner from ourselves and a voucher.

“Mighty Balloons also kindly donated a giant 6-foot breast cancer ribbon logo made of balloons."
