MAD Theatre Company presents 'Genteel' and 'A Christmouse Carol' - Butterworth Hall, Sat 14 & Sun 15 Dec, various times

Watch Christmas plays, take part in a quiz and enjoy refreshments.


Queen’s Park Café Christmas Markets – Queen’s Park, Sat 14 & Sun 15 Dec, 11am

Local traders will sell their produce with lots of delicious festive food and treats available.


Cinderella – Middleton Arena, Fri 13, Sat 14 & Sun 15 Dec, various times

Have a ball at the most magical pantomime of them all!


  • Friday 13 December

Christmas Brass Band Evening – Gordon Rigg Garden Centre Rochdale, band 6.30pm – 8.30pm

Get into the festive spirit with a pie and pea supper and music played by Littleborough Brass Band.


Nutters Christmas Markets – Nutters Restaurant, 5pm – 10pm

Artisan stall cabins, drink tents, live music and meet Elsa and Hans from Frozen.


Father Christmas tours Middleton – 7pm – 9pm

Starting at Monmouth Street then to Larchview Road, Oakdene Road, Elmbank Road, Birchwood Road, Aspinall St, Cedar Road, Sandy Lane, Davids Farm Close, Whiteley Drive, Neilson Close and Compton Way.


Fashion Show – Heywood Cricket Club, 7.30pm – 11.30pm

Ladies High Street brands at super low prices.


Ladies Night – The Willows, Heywood, 7.30pm

Prosecco, drag show performance and disco.


Live Music: The Swing Kings – Vicolo del Vino, music from 9pm

Swing, Soul, Classics and bit of Rock ‘n’ Roll.


Live Music: AC/DC UK – Empire Rochdale, 6pm – 4am

Tribute to ACDC.

Syke Christmas Coffee Morning – Syke Methodist Church, 10am – 12noon

Festive coffee morning for all.


Adult Craft Workshops: Origami Christmas Decorations – Touchstones Rochdale, 10.30am – 12.30pm

Join artist Alison Cooper to create a range of festive paper origami pieces.


Climate Carols – Rochdale Parish Church of St Chad’s, 11.30am start

An alternative carol concert for the climate crisis. Drinks and mince pies from 11am.


Messy Church – Moorhouse Methodist Church, 4pm – 6pm

Fun time of worship, crafts and food.


Drugs Awareness Workshop – Deeplish Community Centre, 5pm – 7pm

There will be talks by GMP, ex-convicts and more. Raising awareness, saving lives.


'Jazzy Christmas' Fundraising Piano Concert – St Mary in the Baum, 5pm

All money raised will go to local charity Jolly Josh.


Middleton Band presents Christmas with the Houghton Weavers – St Michael’s Church, doors 7pm, entertainment from 8pm

Join Middleton Band and guests the Houghton Weavers for an evening of folk and festivities.


A Christmas Concert - Littleborough Brass Band & Sing! Littleborough - Littleborough United Reform Church, 7pm

With special guests Coronation Street's Debbie Webster and Sue Devaney.


A Bluesy Winter’s Night – St Edmund’s Church Falinge, 7.30pm – 10.30pm

Evening of live Blues and Americana music. Proceeds going towards the upkeep of St. Edmund’s.


Live Music: Soul Revolution - Empire Rochdale, 6pm – 4am

Christmas special - 12 Piece Funk & Soul Band.

  • Sunday 15 December

Children's Christmas Party 2019 – Rochdale Masonic Ballroom, 10.30am – 2pm

Sweets, cakes, colouring, games, Dazzle the Clown and laughter for all.


Santa Special Train Rides at Springfield Park – Springfield Park, 12noon – 3pm

Meet Santa who will be there to greet the children and have a ride on our miniature trains.


Empire Rochdale & Springhill Hospice: Free Senior Citizen Christmas Party – Empire Rochdale, 1pm – 6pm

With over four live performances, a super prize raffle draw, tombola and free buffet.


Civic Carol Service – St John the Baptist RC Church, 3pm

With the Mayor and Mayoress of Rochdale, the annual service brings together dignitaries and public of all faiths from across the borough of Rochdale.


Crescent Radio - Celebrating 20 Years of Broadcasting – Rochdale Town Hall, 5pm – 8pm

Live performances, stalls, raffle and meet current and past radio presenters.


Elvis Tribute – Mercure Norton Grange Hotel & Spa, 6pm – 1am

Have a dance and sing whilst listening to live entertainment. 


Jazz on a Sunday – Newtown National Club, doors open 7.15pm

With the Aire Valley Jazz Band.
