‘Arts for Dementia’ event held by Centre of Wellbeing, Training & Culture

The Centre of Wellbeing, Training & Culture (CWTC) organised a successful ‘Arts for Dementia’ event in Rochdale on Wednesday 18 December.
Scores of people attended the Unity House event, including carers, people diagnosed with dementia, health and social care services and the Mayor of Rochdale, Councillor Billy Sheerin.
The guest speakers included Kim Wrigley from Dementia United and Mohammed Sarwar, CEO of CWTC, speaking on how the arts can be beneficial for those with dementia.
Mr Sarwar said: “I am delighted to see so many people from the diverse community engaging with CWTC to gain better understanding on dementia, the importance of research and access to services.”
Following the event, there was an opportunity for the audience to share experiences, ask questions and give their feedback of the event.
