Help and support for vulnerable residents

Date published: 07 April 2020

Rochdale Borough Council has produced and posted a leaflet to all residents in the borough, outlining the dedicated help and support for our most vulnerable residents.

If you haven’t received a copy of the leaflet yet, this can be viewed at the bottom of this article.

Community response hubs have been set up across the borough, delivering emergency food parcels to vulnerable residents, whilst a range of further measures have been introduced to prevent the spread of Covid-19.

The hubs, in Rochdale, Littleborough, Heywood and Middleton, will primarily organise the distribution of emergency food parcels and essential items to ensure that people without help are not left to fend for themselves. They will also support people who are socially isolated.

Please ring the council’s special hotline number if you’re a vulnerable resident or know of a vulnerable resident that requires food supplies, or any other help and support:

  • Tel. 01706 923 685
  • The out of hours contact number is: 0300 303 8875

The council also has a dedicated webpage which is regularly updated with all the key government advice, local service information and what to do if you think you have coronavirus.
