Restriction and location: temporary closure of Sir Isaac Newton Way from the roundabout at George Stephenson Avenue and John Milne Avenue to the roundabout at the exit slip road of Junction 21, M62.

Middleton: temporary local road closures and restrictions

Area: Middleton
Reason: to construct a new way to access the railway station.
Expected start and finish: 8am, Monday 1 June - 6pm, Friday 28 August 2020.
Restriction and location: temporary:

• Closure of the south pavement on Oldham Road from a point 90 metres west of its junction with Mills Hill Road for a distance of 80 metres in a westerly direction.
• No waiting on the north side of Oldham Road from a point 30 metres west of its junction with Mills Hill Road for a distance of 160 metres in a westerly direction.

Alternative route: a pedestrian crossing will be in place so pedestrias can cross onto the north pavement.

Heywood: temporary local road closures and restrictions

Area: Heywood
Reason: Virgin Media are currently installing new Fibre Broadband in the Heywood area.
Expected start and finish: ongoing

• Contractors on site - contact a site supervisor. They are best placed to resolve many issues there and then. In most instances, this will be the quickest and safest way to resolve any issue.
• Virgin Media Helpdesk - if unresolved, or there are no contractors in the area, or if the site has been left in an unsafe manner and requires urgent attention, please ring the Virgin Media helpdesk on 0333 000 5925. The helpdesk hours are: Monday-Friday 8am-7.30pm & Saturday 8am-12noon. The helpdesk will alert the contractor and Virgin Media's compliance engineers.
• Alternatively, please email expansionworks@virginmedia.co.uk with details of your address and preferred contact method.

• To access Bury and Rochdale Old Road on the Bury side: Queens Park Road, York Street, Market Place, Market Street, Bridge Street, Bury Street, Bury New Road, Rochdale Road, Wash Lane, Bell Lane and Rochdale Old Road.
• To access Bury and Rochdale Old Road on the Rochdale side: Rochdfale Old Road, Bell Lane, Wash Lane, Rochdale Road, Bury New Road, Bury Street, Bridge Street, Dawson Street, Bamford Road, Market Place, York Street and Queens Park Road.

Reason: to resurface of the carriageway and for safety reasons afterwards.

• Closure and prohibition of waiting at certain hours of the day on:
• Huddersfield Road, Newhey, from its junction with Woodside to the borough boundary with Oldham.
• Rochdale Road, Denshaw, from the borough boundary for a distance of 100 metres in an easterly direction.

Temporary 40mph speed limit imposed on:

• Huddersfield Road, Newhey, from its junction with Woodside to the borough boundary with Oldham.
• Rochdale Road, Denshaw, from the borough boundary for a distance of 100 metres in an easterly direction.

Expected start and finish:

• The road will be closed from 9.30am-3.30pm each day from Monday 22 June - 11.59pm, Monday 6 July 2020.
• The temporary speed limit will be in force from 9am, Monday 22 June - 11.59pm, Monday 27 July 2020.
