Teenager taken to hospital after assault

A teenager has been taken to hospital following an assault at Stevenson Square in Smallbridge.
The 19-year-old man was taken to hospital with face, neck and hand injuries after the assault at 6.15pm on Sunday 19 July.
Two men, aged 19 and 20, were arrested on suspicion of section 18 assault. They remain in police custody for questioning.
A spokesperson for the ambulance service said: “We attended this area yesterday and sent a rapid response vehicle, two ambulances and air ambulance to scene.
“We took a patient to hospital.”
