Homes on Mill House Close evacuated as precaution

Two properties on Mill House Close in Hurstead, Rochdale were evacuated as a precaution on Saturday evening (18 July) after a resident received an unexpected parcel.
The parcel contained bottles of clear liquid and the resident called the fire brigade.
Two properties were evacuated as a precaution, and a section of the road taped off. Enquiries confirmed the liquid in the bottles was not hazardous and the fire brigade left the scene at 9pm.
Both the police and fire service were in attendance.
