Diamond Bus North West partner with Once Upon a Smile for 2021

Date published: 13 December 2020

Local bus service Diamond Bus North West has chosen Once Upon a Smile as their chosen charity to support in 2021.

The partnership launched this week with an eye-catching branded bus, Once Upon a Smile and Diamond Bus NW worked together to design the bus in order to raise awareness for the charity.

Once Upon a Smile provide emotional and practical support for bereaved families to enable them to adjust to a new life without their loved one. Families are often left to grieve alone with little or no support. Once Upon a Smile provide opportunities for bereaved children and their families to share their thoughts and feelings in fun and safe environment.

Angela Griffiths, Corporate & Community Manager at Once Upon a Smile, said: “We are delighted that Once Upon a Smile has been chosen to be supported by Diamond Bus North West. We cannot wait to see our branded bus on various routes around Greater Manchester. This partnership will raise awareness for Once Upon a Smile and the bus may be seen by a bereaved family who need our support and can then reach out.”

Matt Rawlinson, Deputy Managing Director for Diamond Bus North West, added: “We are proud to be working in partnership with Once Upon a Smile as I am sure we can help them raise the awareness of their charity through our streams of media, taking part in events, help at fundraising events and we have also branded a bus that will be visible across Greater Manchester.

“Supporting Once Upon a Smile gives us the chance to build links within the community and allows us to demonstrate we are part of it as we continue to invest and grow as a well known brand in the area.”

As well as raising awareness for the charity, Diamond NW will also be raising funds throughout 2021 with employee engagement and a text donate number on all of their buses. You can donate to Once Upon a Smile by texting OUASBUS to 70085 to donate £3 - texts cost £3 plus one standard rate message

Both Once Upon a Smile and Diamond Bus would also like to thank Smart Graphics, which has taken the time out to print and fit vinyl on the bus and supporting the charity.
