GCSE results 2021: Record-breaking day for Wardle Academy

Date published: 13 August 2021

Pupils at Wardle Academy celebrated record-breaking GCSE exam results this year, despite a turbulent 18 months of education throughout the pandemic.

In a statement, headteacher Brendan Hesketh said: “Well done and congratulations to the class of 2021 on their fantastic record breaking GCSE exam results.

“We are so proud of everything that all of our students have achieved, GCSE results and beyond. These outcomes are the result of remarkable levels of determination, application and resilience over five years by our brilliant students, incredible staff and dedicated families.

“Everyone who has contributed towards the successes of our students deserves the highest of grades for positivity.

“Class of 2021, you have been amazing. You have truly embodied the Wardle Way and you have represented Wardle Academy with distinction. It has been a pleasure and a privilege for all of us to know each and every one of you.

“We wish everyone every success in the future. We know that you will achieve even more. Your next chapter will be even bigger and even better than what came before.”
