Free football sessions for girls

Date published: 09 August 2022

Free football sessions with children’s football academy Kixx Rochdale are being offered until 21 August.

Inspired by the Lionesses' victory against Germany in the Women's Euros final, girls aged from 18 months to eight-years-old are being offered a free session at either of the CIC’s weekend academies in Rochdale.

Director Cameron Timberley said: “What the Lionesses have achieved during their European campaign is an absolute inspiration to girls everywhere. They should be so proud of themselves. We want to help promote the sport further and provide opportunities for the girls of Rochdale to try football at our academies for absolutely free with no obligations to sign up after the free sessions.

"We want to encourage the next generation of female football stars to take to the pitch and follow in the footsteps of our hero Lionesses.

"At Kixx our goal is simple: to positively impact a child's life at every opportunity through sport."

Spaces are limited so if you want to book a space in advance, please contact camerontimberley@kixx.org.uk to book a space at either the Saturday academy at Soccer Factory or the Sunday academy at Oulder Hill.
