Rochdale woman one of six charged in connection with county lines drug dealing

A Rochdale woman and five others from Oldham and Cumbria have been charged with drug offences following a joint policing operation into county lines drug dealing.

The investigation by Cumbria Police, the North West Regional Organised Crime Team and Greater Manchester Police saw a number of warrants executed at addresses across Oldham, Rochdale and Barrow-in-Furness.

Sarah Kolsuma Sadiq, 29, of Rochdale, has been charged with conspiracy to supply class A drugs and is due to appear at Preston Crown Court on 15 December.

Brandon McGuire, 24, of Barrow-in-Furness, has been charged with conspiracy to supply Class A drugs to include heroin, crack cocaine and cocaine.

Jackson Young , 20, of Barrow-in-Furness, has been charged with conspiracy to supply Class A drugs. He has also been charged with possession with intent to supply cocaine and possession with intent to supply ketamine.

Gregory Bell, 46, and Tamzin Saywell, 19, both of Barrow-in-Furness, and Shamim Hussain, 28, of Oldham, have each been charged with conspiracy to supply Class A drugs.

The seventh person arrested, who is from Manchester, has been released under investigation.

Saywell and Hussain are also due to appear at Preston Crown Court on 15 December.

Bell, McGuire and Young are due to appear at Furness and District Magistrates' Court on 20 December.

Detective Inspector Jamie Eaton said: “I would like to thank the North West Regional Organised Crime Unit, Greater Manchester Police and the National County Lines Coordination Centre for their support throughout the operation.

“We continue to ask the public to be our eyes and ears and report any suspected drug supply activity to us so our teams can investigate.

“I would urge anyone affected by drug use or suspected county line drug dealing to contact police on 101.”
