Rochdale hairstylist shortlisted for 2024 UK Hair and Beauty Awards

Date published: 22 November 2023

A Rochdale hairstylist has been shortlisted for the 2024 UK Hair and Beauty Awards.

Natalie Power, who has worked at Salon 481 on Oldham Road since August this year, has been named as a finalist in the Best Colour Salon category.

Natalie initially began studying for her Level 1 diploma in 2013-14 but stopped after her mum died in April 2014.

Wanting to gain further qualifications, she returned to education in 2021 where she gained her Level 2, followed by her Level 3 the following year.

She is currently studying for a Level 5 salon management course at Bury College and University Centre.

Natalie said: “I am so amazed at the fact I have been given the opportunity to be a finalist in the Hair and Beauty Awards 2024.

“From being a newly – very nervous and not confident – qualified hairdresser many years ago, losing my mum, quitting college in that time, to now having more expanding skills, experience and confidence to believe and achieve, not giving up on myself has really paid off.”

The UK Hair and Beauty Awards celebrate the hair and beauty industry in style with an annual red carpet event with celebrity guests, hosts and entertainment, and can only be attended by invitation only.

Winners will be announced at the event in Birmingham on 1 June 2024.
