Jolly Josh receives Christmas tree from H Bell and Sons

Date published: 30 November 2023

Rochdale's Jolly Josh Centre, a haven for children with complex needs and physical disabilities, is about to shine even brighter this festive season, thanks to the generosity of Rochdale building contractor, H Bell and Sons. In a heart-warming gesture, H Bell and Sons has gifted Jolly Josh a magnificent Christmas tree, bringing joy and holiday spirit to the hearts of all the children and families who call the centre a home from home.

The Jolly Josh Centre, which supports children and young people living with complex medical needs and physical disabilities, through play, social and hydrotherapy activities, consistently strives to create a nurturing environment where children can feel safe, connect with others and thrive. The addition of this beautiful Christmas tree is a testament to the commitment of the team at H Bell and Sons to spread warmth and cheer during the holiday season.

Sarah Ford, centre manager at Jolly Josh said, "We are incredibly touched by H Bell and Sons' thoughtful gift. Jolly Josh is a place where these incredible children and their families come together to create beautiful memories, and this Christmas tree will undoubtedly add to those cherished moments.”

H Bell and Sons has a long-standing commitment to giving back to the Rochdale community. Donating this stunning Christmas tree to Jolly Josh reflects their dedication to making a positive impact on Jolly Josh families. "We believe in the power of community and wanted to share the holiday spirit with Jolly Josh and the families it supports. We hope this tree brings smiles, laughter, and warmth to everyone who visits the centre," said Louise Scott, finance director and fourth generation of the H Bell and Sons family.

The Christmas tree at Jolly Josh will serve as a reminder that the holiday season is about coming together, spreading joy, and cherishing the moments of happiness with loved ones. It will be a focal point for celebrations and activities throughout the season, providing a magical backdrop for the centre’s festive activities.
