A Christmas message from Chris Clarkson, MP for Heywood and Middleton.
As we look ahead to 2024 and all the possibilities that it brings, I wanted to wish everyone across Heywood, Middleton and Rochdale a very Happy Christmas. 2023 has been an eventful year, with amazing triumphs like England reaching the World Cup finals and the coronation of the new King, but we’ve also faced challenges, including the high cost of living which has forced so many of us to make tough choices.
I want to thank everyone in our communities who have worked so hard to look out for their neighbours, to support one another and who have gone above and beyond to make a difference. I’ve enjoyed meeting so many of you this past year and helping to support your efforts. I couldn’t be prouder to be the MP for such a remarkable place or such remarkable people. Wishing you all a brilliant 2024 with all the good things you deserve.
