One Dale Supporters Trust guest said pie and peas was “a great idea; it got us all together!” while another from Whitworth Carers said: “We were so happy to be invited. Thank you to Rochdale for all you do for us.”

Nathan Ashurst, health inclusion coach said it was a “brilliant event, everyone had so much fun!”

Inclusion co-ordinator, Liz Cotterill said: “We were delighted to be able to put on this free event, at this time of year.

“With the cost of living crisis it was important to do what we can and if you live alone it's hard – so we wanted to put on this event, to help combat social isolation and help people meet new people, and not forgetting many thanks to everyone who came and the volunteers who made it happen.

“Thanks to all the volunteers, staff, and everyone for their kind donations.”
