M60 closed between J22 for Oldham and J19 for Rhodes due to police-led incident

A section of the M60 has been closed in both directions due to a police-led incident (Tuesday 23 January 5.15pm).
The road has been closed clockwise between Junctions 22 (Oldham) and 19 (A576/Rhodes) and clockwise between Junctions 20 (Blackley) and 21 (Whitegate).
Emergency services are in attendance and the closures are likely to remain in place into the evening.
There is queueing traffic and congestion of two miles as well as at least 10 minutes of delays in each direction.
A diversion route is being established.
