Animal Microchipping Event - RSPCA Hollingworth Lake Animal Centre

Saturday 8 June 2024 - Sunday 9 June 2024 10.30am - 4pm (by appointment only) -

Is your cat, dog or rabbit in need of microchipping? At this event, owners can get their animals chipped for £10, which is half the price that it usually costs!


Visit Fireground Museum – Fireground, Maclure Road,

Friday 7 June - Saturday 8 June, 10am - 4pm

Fire Museum attractions are on show including historic and recent day artifacts.

This is for those born 1959/1960 and took O’Levels 1976.


All Night Long – The Soul & Motown Show - Empire Rochdale, 8pm

Get ready to dance the night away with the All Night Long Show, a high-energy production featuring the greatest hits of Soul and Motown.


Amy Winehouse tribute - Vicolo Del Vino, 9pm

She's back & better than ever. Once again, we have our Amy Winehouse tribute back on our little stage.

Riverside Artisan Market - Riverside Retail & Leisure Complex, 10am - 4pm

A warm welcome is waiting from over 30 small independent businesses who grow, rear, make or bake what you see. All different, all quality and made by the people you speak to.


Coach House Craft Fair - Littleborough Coach House, 10am til 3pm

The doors will open to the public at 10am. Stallholders will be able to access earlier in the morning to be able to set up their stalls.


Heywood Model Railway Group Open Day - Unit 4 Park Works, 10am - 4pm

Do you have locos and stock but not enough space to run them? Why not come along to one of our open days where you can stretch the legs of your locos by running them on one of our layouts?


Littleborough Food & Drink Festival - Hare Hill Road, 11am - 4pm

A community event to celebrate quality food, drink, and independent businesses for everyone to enjoy - food and drink stalls, cooking demonstrations and entertainment.


Community Fun Day - Hopwood Hall College, Middleton Campus, 11am - 3pm

There’s a whole host of things for you to get involved in – no matter your age or interests. This includes meeting the college's rare and wonderful wildlife, which includes exotic creatures such as flamingos, meerkats, potoroos and much more.


La Decima - Cherwell Centre, 11am

It's time to mark a major milestone as PossAbilities celebrates 10 incredible years! Join us for a grand celebration in Heywood, including a vibrant carnival-style parade through town, leading all the way back to PossAbilities HQ!


Milnrow Cricket Club Festival - Milnrow Cricket Club, 12pm - 9.30pm

A new family friendly music festival based in the village of Milnrow, featuring the UK's finest tribute bands.


Rochdale Ramblers - Wander to Hollingworth Lake Country Park, 1pm

Walk distance = 5 miles. National Grade: Leisurely. This scenic walk is mainly flat with good paths.


Thank ABBA For The Music - Middleton Arena, 7.30pm

Grab your platforms and flares for a journey back in time to when ABBA dominated the charts and ruled the airwaves!


Summer Fair 2024 - Crown and Shuttle, 2pm

Inka invites you to our Summer fair 2024. ÓÐR HIRD Viking show, polish bikers northwest, Kinga children entertainer, face painting, bouncy castle, barbecue and sweets, tombola for big and small you can win great toys and vouchers.


RUFF TRADE – Empire Rochdale, 8pm

RUFF TRADE are an explosion of Roots, Rock, Reggae born in 2016 on the streets of Manchester, UK.


Live music from James Reid - Treehouse Bar Rochdale – 7pm

James Reid is a UK based multi award winning singer songwriter with a real love for music. James creates songs with feeling and believes great music should help you escape for a while.

Bowlee Car Boot Sale and Market - Bowlee Community Park, 6am for sellers, 7am for public - 1.30pm

If it's time for a de-clutter, you can easily offload your unwanted possessions in exchange for cash or explore and bag yourself a bargain. There's a huge range of goods available.


Rochdale Ramblers - Grains Bar, Denshaw and Crompton Moor, 10am

Walk distance = 8 miles. National Grade: Moderate. A scenic Saddleworth moderate walk with a few short ascents, from Grains Bar to Denshaw, returning via Crompton Moor.



Urban Sketching with Len Grant - Rochdale Town Hall Square, 10am

Work with northern artist Len Grant and explore the urban environment around the Rochdale Town Hall. Overcome the fear of drawing outside and build up some techniques that will set you on the road to becoming an urban sketcher.


Tour of Britain Women's race - Expected to arrive in Rochdale Borough at 12.00pm

The 99.2km route is scheduled to start in the National Cycling Centre in Manchester and travel anticlockwise around Greater Manchester, through Oldham, Rochdale, Bury, Bolton and Wigan before heading to Leigh for the finish.


Springfield Park Model Train Rides - Springfield Park, 1pm to 4pm

Our miniature railway running in Springfield Park, is now open every Sunday afternoon till the end of October. Please come along and support us.


Explore Middleton's Conservation Area – 2pm

A guided walk round the amazing 'Golden Cluster' of historic buildings in the Middleton Conservation Area, particularly focusing on those by the 'remarkable' architect Edgar Wood (1860-1935).


Whitworth Commemoration of D Day 80th Anniversary - The Ashcroft, 2pm - 6pm

The event will include entertainment from National Champions Whitworth Vale and Healey Brass Band, the highly entertaining u3s ukelele band and the beautiful voices of Whitworth Community Choir.
