All That Jazz - Middleton Arena, Saturday 7.30pm and Sunday 2pm

The Alyson Livesey Academy of Dance and Drama presents a magical medley of musicals.


Visit Fireground Museum – Fireground, Maclure Road, Friday and Saturday, 10am - 4pm

Fire Museum attractions are on show including historic and recent day artifacts.



  • Friday 5 July

Don’t Stop Queen Now - Middleton Arena. 7.30pm

Tonight, you’re gonna have yourself a real good time! Don’t Stop Queen Now, boasts the UK’s largest stage production of any Queen tribute band.


Abba Duo - Norton Grange Hotel and Spa. 6pm - 1am

Put on your dancing shoes and become a super trooper with our fabulous tribute night. Sing and dance the night away to hits such as dancing queen, waterloo and more.


Live music - Chris Addington - The Flying Horse Hotel. 10pm

Tonight, we have the amazing Chris Addington. Chris plays guitar/ sing and he fronts local bands ‘the filthy animals’ and ‘ shenanigans’.


Pinc and the Pioneers - Rochdale Pioneers Museum, 10.30am – 1.30pm

Join us at the Rochdale Pioneers Museum for a family-friendly drop-in event.


80’s Rewind – Live 80’s Party Band – Empire Rochdale, 8pm

Featuring Beth Brookes – from the era that gave us the video game, shoulder pads and huge hair comes a fun and energetic tribute to the 1980’s.

  • Saturday 6 July

Rochdale Children's Literature Festival - Number One Riverside, 10am - 3pm

We're back for another year. Come and join us for an exciting and inspiring festival in the heart of Rochdale.


Kids Stitch & Play - Brimrod Church Community Hall, 1pm - 3pm

We are so excited to offer the chance for local children and their caregivers to join us in learning sewing skills.


Live music - Funktion & Co - The Flying Horse Hotel, 10pm

Tonight, we have the amazing Funktion & Co.


An Evening with Voice - St. Luke’s Church, Heywood, 7.30pm

An evening with Voice - Heywood’s Community Choir and other musical guests. Proceeds to be split 50% to Springhill Hospice 50% to St Luke’s Church.


Rochdale Ramblers - Saturday Walks - Walk from Nuttall Park, 1pm

Walk distance = 5 miles. National Grade: Leisurely. This is a lovely scenic walk starting from Nuttall Park and walking through Stubbins to Strongstry.


UB40 – Live Full Band Tribute Show – Empire Rochdale, 8pm

Ultimate 40 are a professional tribute band from Birmingham to Birmingham’s very own superstars of reggae UB40.


Darnhill Festival 2024 - In and around Argyle Parade, 12pm – 5pm

Darnhill Festival 2024 takes place Saturday 6 July in and around Argyle Parade. Summer festival organised by Cartwheel Arts on behalf of Darnhill Festival Association.

  • Sunday 7 July

Ellenroad Engine House Open Day - Ellenroad Engine House, Steam Museum, 11am - 4pm.

Join us for our monthly open day! This month we welcome an Exhibition by The Northern Potters Association.


Donate Blood – Heywood Sports Village, 9.50am – 4.25pm

Giving blood and platelets is essential to the NHS and vulnerable patients. Please keep donating.


Bowlee Car Boot Sale and Market - Bowlee Community Park, 6am for sellers, 7am for public - 1.30pm

If it's time for a de-clutter, you can easily offload your unwanted possessions in exchange for cash or explore and bag yourself a bargain. There's a huge range of goods available.


Springfield Park Model Train Rides - Springfield Park, 1pm to 4pm

Our miniature railway running in Springfield Park, is now open every Sunday afternoon till the end of October. Please come along and support us. 


Rochdale Ramblers - Sunday Walks – Alphin Pike, 10am

Walk distance = 9 miles. National Grade : Strenuous. Meet at dead end layby at junction of A635 / B6175 , Friezland ( nr Greenfield). Limited parking so please share if possible.


Hollingworth Lake Sensory Garden Open Day - Hollingworth Lake, 1pm – 3pm

Pop along and meet our rangers who will walk you through the new sensory garden located opposite the RSPCA centre, where you will find a range of features to delight all senses.
