Rochdale in Rainbows, Rochdale Pride, is returning with another spectacular event this weekend to raise awareness and celebrate LGBTQ+ communities.
Though Rochdale Pride has taken place in previous years, this event will be the first-ever Rochdale in Rainbows Pride parade, which will take place this Saturday (13 July) between 10.00am and 11.30am.
It will be followed by more celebrations, refreshments, information stalls, and fun at the Bright Hall, inside the town hall until 2.00pm.

Councillor Susan Smith, portfolio holder for communities and co-operation for Rochdale Borough Council, said: “We are proud of the cooperative nature of Rochdale in Rainbows Pride, so many local partners, businesses, community groups, and residents will all come together this Saturday to celebrate our very own Rochdale in Rainbows first ever pride parade.
“It is also a time to reflect on the progress made towards equality while acknowledging there is still so much more to do. We are committed to supporting and celebrating equality, equity, inclusion, and respect for everyone, which are at the heart of our events that I am sure you will all enjoy.”
