Andy Zuntz confirmed as interim Chief Executive

Date published: 13 March 2012

Andy Zuntz, Executive Director at Rochdale Council, will temporarily take on the role of Chief Executive when Roger Ellis leaves on 1 April.

Jim Taylor of Tameside Council had been announced as the new Chief Executive, subject to ratification at a meeting of full council next Monday (19 March).

Mr Taylor will not start the job immediately after Mr Ellis leaves, so Mr Zuntz will temporarily take charge.

Stephen Harper, Director of Human Resources at Rochdale Borough Council said: “Following last week's announcement that our Appointments Committee has decided that Jim Taylor should be appointed Chief Executive, we have now confirmed the interim arrangements.

“Roger Ellis will leave the Council on 1 April. Jim Taylor will join the Council after this date.

“Executive Director Andy Zuntz will cover the Chief Executive post on an interim basis from 1 April.”
