Fire at the old Wellfield Surgery building

The old Wellfield Surgery building was badly damaged by fire late this afternoon.
Two fire crews from Rochdale and one from Littleborough tackled the blaze at the now mothballed building on Oldham Road at 4.48pm.
The surgery, now understood to be owned by Rochdale Council, has been subjected to frequent vandalism since the new surgery opened across the road in June 2012.
