Council Leader collapses

Rochdale Council Leader Colin Lambert has this morning collapsed outside Number One Riverside and been taken to hospital by ambulance.

The collapse happened around 10.00am today, Tuesday 15 May.

The Royal Oldham Hospital said: “We have no statement available at this time”, however, a spokesman for the council said: "Colin’s position is comfortable and there is no need to be alarmed."

MP for Rochdale, Simon Danczuk said: "I wish Colin a speedy recovery.”
