Stuart Sawle: New President of the Rotary Club of Middleton

Date published: 13 July 2013

The new president of the Rotary Club of Middleton took over this week.

Stuart Sawle, who has taken over from former president Jeff Lawton, says: “Jeff is one of the nicest men I’ve ever met. He brought a lot to the club and I hope to carry on his good work.

“I think that the continuity is one of the best aspects of this club, I see myself as part of an overall plan.

“One of my personal aims whilst I’m in this position is to raise money for the North West Air Ambulance. I’m also the District Governor elect, combining the two roles will be a challenge but I’m looking forward to it.

Keith Trinnaman who will follow on from Stuart believes that: “Having this continuity is a huge bonus. Long term planning is important in organisations such as this.

“Our previous President did a fantastic job and I’m hoping Stuart Sawle and I ill continue that.”

Jeff Lawton agreed with Stuart and Keith and said: “I’ve enjoyed my time and President and the fact we know the next three presidents is very important.

“I hope they can bring their own views and ideas forward so the club can carry on moving forward.”
