Inquest into death of Farhan Majid adjourned

The inquest into the death of Farhan Majid man was opened and adjourned yesterday as a police investigation is carried out.
Mr Majid, 35, died after a blue BMW M5 carrying four men was found overturned on the A680 Rochdale Road just after midnight on Wednesday 8 January.
A spokesman for Burnley Coroner’s Office said: “We can confirm that the inquest was opened and adjourned yesterday as police continue investigations.
"The name of the man was confirmed as Farhan Majid and he died at 12:16am on 8 January on Rochdale Road.
“The post-mortem found that the man had died of multiple injuries.”
The driver of the car and two other passengers were treated at hospitals in Manchester for lesser injuries.
The inquest has been adjourned until 6 May.
