Councillor Farooq Ahmed appeared at Bury and Rochdale Magistrates court this morning (Wednesday 19 February).
Councillor Ahmed pleaded not guilty to allegations of a section 4 public order offence. He is alleged to have hurled abuse at fellow Councillor Neil Emmott during a row in the street in January.
The case will now be heard at Manchester Magistrates Court. A date is yet to be set.
