Councillors visit students

Councillor Mulgrew and students at Kingsway Park High School
A number of councillors have visited year 9 students at Kingsway Park High School with the aim of bringing local democracy to life.
Sadly some students generally feel that they are not important in the eyes of society and they haven’t got a say.
By meeting the Councillors and passing on their concerns about their local areas allowed students to influence local decision making.
Students questioned the councillors at length about their lives and powers in exchange the councillors changed their hearts and minds.
Thank you to Councillor Mulgrew, Councillor Ali, and Councillor Burke who gave up their time to enrich the education experience our students.
