Man suffers head injury in car crash on Smithy Bridge Road

A man is being treated for a head injury and is due to be taken to Hope Hospital for assessment after a road traffic accident on Smithy Bridge Road.
The accident, which occurred at around 11:50am this morning (Wednesday 11 June) involved a White BMW and a Blue Vauxhall Astra, and it is understood that a garden wall was also damaged.
Police, fire crews and air ambulance all attended the scene.
It is currently unclear how serious the man's injury is.
New Road with its junction at Smithy Bridge Road is currently closed.
