Goodbye & Good Luck Mrs Hollywood

After working with the school, children, governors and outside agencies for the past 4 years Mrs Hollywood leaves us today to start a new job at Alkrington Primary School, Middleton. We would like to take this opportunity to say thank you for all your hard work, you will be missed!

It has been brought to our attention that some parents are leaving young children unsupervised in the cars whilst they are going to collect older children from the playground at home time. Some parents are also taking too many children in their cars. All children must have a seatbelt on. They must not sit on knees as this is extremely dangerous. If there are too many children for one trip you will need to make more than one trip. Thank you

We have been asked by parents to put this on the Newsletter yet again. Cars are coming of Calder Street (one way) onto Albert Royds Street and the busy dual carriageway. Parents are quite rightly concerned that this could cause an accident. Please come onto the school car park and follow the other road out of school. Thank you.
